Requirements for Working Environment of Linear Actuators

2023-12-12

Linear actuators are devices that transform rotary motion into linear motion. They are widely used in various industries, such as healthcare, automation, and aerospace, due to their precision, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. However, linear actuators have specific requirements for their working environment to function correctly and ensure their durability. In this article, we will discuss the critical factors that affect the working environment of linear actuators and their implications.

1. Working environment of electric push rod: no highly corrosive, flammable and explosive media;

2. Ambient temperature: -30℃ ~ 50℃;

Because linear actuators contain motors that generate heat during operation. Therefore, the working temperature of the environment around the linear actuator should be within the specified range to prevent overheating, thereby damaging the motor and other components.

3. Relative humidity: 80% (20±5℃);

Because high humidity levels can cause moisture to build up on the actuator surface, leading to corrosion, electrical short circuits, and damage to critical components. On the other hand, low humidity levels can cause static electricity, which discharges and damages the actuator's electronic system.

4. No strong feelings;

Because linear actuators are sensitive to external vibrations and shocks, mechanical failures can occur due to their precise motion. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the actuator is installed correctly and safely to minimize vibration and shock.

5. Working system:

① Short-time working system: extra time is 10 minutes;

② Frequent working system: 15 times per hour;

6. The altitude shall not exceed 1000m;

7. Power supply: 380V, 50Hz, three-phase four-wire system
