Types of test pens

Test pens, also known as test pencils or tester pens, are tools used to check if electrical circuits are live or dead. There are different types of test pens designed for different purposes. In this article, we will explore the various types of test pens.

According to the high and low score of the measured voltage:

1) High voltage test pen: used for 10kv and above project operation, for the electrician's daily testing equipment;

2) Low voltage test pen: Used for line voltage 500V and below items live body detection.

3) Weak current test pen: used for the test of electronic products, the general test voltage is 6v- 24v. For ease of use, the end of the pen is often equipped with a leading wire with a clip.

According to the contact method:

1) Contact test pen: By contact with a live body, obtain electrical signal detection tool. Usually the shape has a flathead screwdriver type, and the test pen and flathead screwdriver are used; Pen type, display measurement data directly in the LCD window.

2) Induction test pen: Using induction test, without physical contact, can check the voltage on the control line, conductor and socket or check the break position along the wire. It can greatly protect the personal safety of testing personnel.
